The Ritz-Carlton, Portland

Incredible hotel! Kevin, the front desk manager, Kevin. Was INCREDIBLE to work with! He made sure to confirm what time I was arriving, upgraded my room. Everything was magnificent!!! The only downfall was the bath towels, this is a luxury hotel with incredible amenities, toiletries, food, and service but the bath towels are horrible. I thought I was exfoliating myself not drying myself off :(. Get some soft towels and this would be a hotel I’d stay in for lifetimes to come!

First time staying here. Great hotel I thought the staff was outstanding including the front desk, the team working the club level and even the valet. Rooms were very clean, quiet and great views. The gym was one of the best I have experienced and their pool area was outstanding. Trust me - you will be disappointed if you don’t bring your bathing suit. They have a club level which has floor to ceiling views, snacks and an opportunity to order a drink ( not a full bar but good enough). Very open space. Did not have a great experience at their restaurant (separate review) however again very pleased 100% would come back

Sometimes you step into a hotel and you feel like you are at home. Your house may be a multi-million dollar mansion or it might be an RV. But when you step past the front door you feel like you are home. That is how I felt at the Ritz in Portland. The decor was that trendy phrase of the day - quiet luxury. I feel all levels of stress lift off my shoulders. The room had an amazing bed. The shower had a place to shower and a bath tub. We at first were not sure about the set-up. But it was nice to be able to shower and bathe at the same time. And the tub was the perfect size. Room service was dependable and tasty. But it had all the appeal and aesthetic that I want in a hotel. The previous three days were spent in a Forbes 4 star hotel. This place was better. It should be a Forbes five star. The location is perfect for walking around downtown. The ladies and gentlemen of the Ritz were welcoming and charming as usual. If you are visiting Portland, this is the place to stay. If you live in that area and need a staycation retreat. This is the place to stay. I think the Spa needs some help and I left a review of my experience under that listing. Lastly I have to say hats off to the member of the staff, Elias. He was very nice and had a wonderful smile. We also have to say thank you to Jay at the front desk for helping to make the visit special.

However, thanks to the incredible team at the Ritz, my outlook was completely transformed. The ladies and gentlemen went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. I was fortunate enough to receive a room upgrade, along with a delicious birthday cake and champagne. Each encounter was authentic and heartfelt — a true reflection of the Ritz Carlton’s motto “Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen”. What truly surprised me was the authenticity of everyone I interacted with. They made me feel uniquely valued. From Tiara and Joey, who went above and beyond to ensure my experience was unforgettable, to Bryce, who surprised me with a wonderful treat, along with the team members who took care of my room—every interaction was meaningful and sincere. I wish I had noted all their names! My time at the Ritz Carlton Portland didn’t just relax me; it renewed my spirit and changed how I felt about my birthday. Instead of feeling down, I left feeling grateful, rejuvenated, and incredibly special. It’s a place where luxury meets genuine kindness, and I couldn’t have chosen a better location to celebrate this milestone. I look forward to returning — this will always be my go-to sanctuary for luxury, relaxation, and heartfelt service.
